MasterCard Worldwide
John Eubanks joined the Global Technology and Operations division of MasterCard Worldwide in 1996. He serves as group head of Global Services Operations, leading the team that manages day-to-day operations for all aspects of engineering and operation support.
The Services Operations group, situated at MasterCard’s technology headquarters in O’Fallon, Mo., is responsible for MasterCard operations around the clock and around the globe, operating in 210 countries and territories. For approximately 24,000 financial institutions, the MasterCard Worldwide Network in 2008 processed 21 billion payment transactions with a gross dollar volume of $2.5 trillion. The MasterCard network has the capacity to handle 140 million transactions per hour with an average network response time of 140 milliseconds.
Mr. Eubanks earlier served as a senior business leader of St. Louis operations, consolidating operations groups and creating a service oriented operations group. His experience includes nearly 10 years at American Express, where he oversaw various components of operations and strategic direction of processing. He earlier held various positions at All State Insurance including senior operations consultant.
