Mary Jo Gorman, MD, MBA

Dr. Gorman serves as the CEO of Advanced ICU Care, a company that delivers intensivist services and ICU management to community hospital ICUs via telemedicine. She brings more than 20 years of clinical, healthcare executive management and entrepreneurial experience to her role as chief executive officer. Since it was founded in 2004, she has raised over $10 million in venture funds and the company has grown by 549% through 2009. In 2009, the company was named one of the fastest growing companies in St. Louis, MO by the St. Louis Business Journal.

She has practiced as an intensivist and a hospitalist, and has held numerous leadership positions locally and nationally. In 2009, she was named one the top 25 Women in Healthcare by Modern Healthcare.

Dr. Gorman received an MBA from Washington University’s Olin School of Business, her doctorate of medicine from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Ill, and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biology from St. Louis University. She obtained her board certifications in Critical Care Medicine and Internal Medicine.
