Jim Hull joined the Global Technology and Operations (GTO) division at MasterCard Worldwide in 1999. He serves as group executive of Global Operations Services and is a member of the GTO Management Council. Mr. Hull and his staff of professional and technical personnel are responsible for all aspects of engineering and operation support for MasterCard globally. Examples of his team’s responsibilities include budget execution, planning, design, engineering, acquisition, installation, 24/7 operations, performance and tuning. The systems and networks Mr. Hull and his staff support include multiple data centers and a network that spans more than 210 countries and territories. Prior to joining MasterCard, Mr. Hull served in the United States Marine Corps, retiring as a colonel. The majority of his assignments in the Marine Corps were staff and command positions in communications and information systems at locations throughout the world. Mr. Hull was deployed to Saudi Arabia during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, during which he served as the principal communications/information systems officer (G-6) for a 12,000-person command. Mr. Hull has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in business administration from Boston University.
