Jan Stovall joined Edward Jones' Information Systems division in 2001 after doing information technology work in the software and environmental services industries for several years. Since joining the firm as a team leader, Stovall has taken on additional responsibility and has served as a department leader since 2003. She is responsible for leading a department of two teams that support data replication, backup and recovery as well as storage acquisition and provisioning for all environments. In her role as department leader, Stovall has also been involved with disaster recovery and data retention.

With over 20 years in IT, including assignments as Manager of Global Sales Applications at BMC Software and Director of Marketing and Sales Information Systems at Browning-Ferris Industries prior to joining Edward Jones, data management has been a primary focus for Stovall.

Stovall received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Indiana University and earned an MBA from the University of Houston.
